Each of our programs is strategically designed to prepare students for the written state board examination, offering structured review sessions, practice exams, and personalized guidance to support every learning style. We take pride in maintaining a high state board passing rate, reflecting our focus on making sure every student is fully prepared to become licensed.
Although the state board examination is a written examination, at Savvy, we put a heavy emphasis on hands-on practical training. Beauty is a skill-based profession where techniques like cutting, coloring, styling, and skincare are developed through repetition and consistent practice. Each of our instructors has years of experience in the beauty industry and work closely with each student to provide personal guidance and ensure that they are mastering their skills. We aim to provide students with a real world approach where they become comfortable with tools, products, and different hair and skin types, while also learning how to adapt to real client needs and preferences. Our goal is that by the time our students graduate, they are not only knowledgeable, but fully prepared to step a salon or spa with the skills and confidence to succeed.
Additionally, our curriculum is constantly evolving to reflect the latest beauty trends, techniques, and innovations. We aim to provide our students with exposure to as many brands, companies, field trips, and demos as possible. Savvy has many different brand partnerships from Après Nails to Aki Lashes to Dermalogica. Through partnerships with leading brands and industry professionals, our students gain access to advanced education, product knowledge, and real-world insights that give them a competitive edge.
